The "Center of Excellence for Research, Development and Training" has been officially inaugurated at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, in collaboration with Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). The prestigious event was jointly hosted by Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, and Mr. Imran Abbasi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PPL. In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir stated that this center will further strengthen the link between industry and academia and create new opportunities in research and development. He emphasized that UET Lahore will continue to play a pivotal role in national progress by promoting research, innovation, and industrial partnerships.

The center will not only offer new avenues for research and training but also serve as a robust platform to tackle future challenges in the fields of energy and technology. On this occasion, PPL MD Imran Abbasi remarked that the center is a significant step towards sustainable development in Pakistan’s energy and technology sectors. He affirmed that PPL will continue to contribute to national development through its collaborations with academic institutions. The event was attended by Chairman PEC Engr Waseem Nazir, deans and heads of various academic and administrative departments.
