Innovative Lyallpur 3.0: A National Showcase of Student Innovation and Technological Excellence

Building on the resounding success of Innovative Lyallpur 1.0 in 2023 and Innovative Lyallpur 2.0 in 2024, TUF has firmly established itself as a national hub for student-led innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology-driven solutions. The Department of Computer Sciences, TUF, in collaboration with IEEE TUF Student Branch, IEEE ComSoc Lahore, and IEEE Faisalabad Sub-Section, successfully hosted the third edition of its flagship event, Innovative Lyallpur 3.0. Over 250 innovative research projects were presented by talented students from more than 35 universities across Pakistan, showcasing a vibrant spectrum of creativity, technology, and problem-solving at Innovative Lyallpur 3.0.

The inauguration ceremony of Innovative Lyallpur 3.0 commenced with a high-profile address by Prof Dr Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, The University of Faisalabad, who set the tone for the transformative event by emphasizing the university’s strategic focus on innovation, industry-academia synergy, and future-ready education. Prof Dr Majid Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology, welcomed the esteemed guests and participants. Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor, UET, Lahore, graced the event as the chief guest.

A high-profile panel of distinguished Guests of Honor significantly elevated the stature of Innovative Lyallpur 3.0 with their esteemed presence and insights. Among them were Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad; Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University Bahawalpur/MNSU; Prof Dr Umar Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore and Mr Murtaza Noor, Coordinator at COMSTECH.

The panel also included notable academic leaders such as Dr Bilal Tahir, Provost of Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan; Dr Waqar Mehmood, Director of KICS at UET Lahore; and Prof Dr Tassaduk Hussain, Director of the Center of AI and Big Data. They delivered insightful speeches, highlighting the significance of nurturing innovation ecosystems in academic institutions, particularly in artificial intelligence, big data, and digital transformation. Dr Hamza Amin, Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, The University of Faisalabad, the inaugural session with his remarks and distributed shields among dignitaries.
