UET Lahore Inaugurates Upgraded Facilities to Enhance Campus Infrastructure
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, TI, inaugurated three newly upgraded facilities at the UET Main Campus as part of the “Rehabilitation/Upgradation of Dilapidated Physical Infrastructure” initiative funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). The inaugurated projects include, Renovation & Upgradation of Washrooms, Block C-Hall with a cost of Rs. 18.069 million, Renovation & Upgradation of Washrooms Iqbal Hall, with a cost of Rs. 20.655 million and Replacement of Water Supply, Sui Gas System, and Installation of Tub Well with a cost of Rs. 110.897 million.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir highlighted the importance of modern, safe, and hygienic infrastructure for enhancing the academic environment and overall student experience at UET. He appreciated the efforts of all contractors and consultants for their timely execution and commitment to quality. The university reaffirms its resolve to provide state-of-the-art facilities and a conducive learning environment for students and faculty alike, Dr. Shahid Munir stated. The upgrades are part of a larger vision to bring UET Lahore’s infrastructure in line with global standards, he added.
