A meeting of the Board of Management of the Benevolent Fund for A-Class employees and faculty members of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir.

 

During the meeting, financial assistance was approved for A-Class employees and faculty members at various levels. It was decided that financial support of PKR 10,000 per month will be provided to 23 intermediate-level children of employees, while 23 undergraduate or postgraduate children will receive PKR 15,000 per month. Furthermore, 95 school-level children will be granted PKR 6,500 per month.

 

In addition, PKR 150,000 was approved as marriage assistance for the daughter of one employee, and PKR 20,000 was granted to another employee for funeral expenses. A total of PKR 1,113,066 was sanctioned for medical assistance to nine employees.

 

The board also approved an annual grant of PKR 15,000 for a period of five years for the widow of a deceased university employee. Moreover, children of an employee who passed away during service will receive a monthly scholarship of PKR 6,500.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir stated,

"The university does not consider its employees merely a workforce, but a part of its family. The well-being of our employees and their families remains a top priority. We are committed to standing by them through every difficult time."
